DOJ Takes on Google
The US Department of Justice, along with a coalition of 38 states, has filed a landmark antitrust lawsuit against Google, accusing the tech giant of maintaining an illegal monopoly in the search and search advertising markets.
The complaint alleges that Google has used exclusive distribution agreements and anti-competitive practices to prevent competitors from gaining market share. Google has denied the allegations and plans to vigorously defend itself.
